The Field Trip School Adventures Ad. #3

On Nov. 6th my class took a feild trip to Sheldon Art Museum. Now if you ever visited Lincoln before you've most likely seen sculptures. Some famous sculptures, Torn Notebook, Old Glory, The Story, Greenpoint, and fallen dreamer. Now i'm not going to explain all the sculptures,what they look like, the artists, the history exct. but i will give you the website that does now if it doesnt help you just leave a comment in the comment box and ill get back to you.

Ok now that you know what im talking about lets get to what a great time i had.
I'm going to take you back to Nov 6th.

We were in line waiting to get on the bus just to joke around me and my friends prayed.
we got into a big huddle and i started. jokeingly, i said in a preachers voice "heavenly fatha i pray to MIGHTY heavans that we will not FREEZE our tooshies off" in the background is alexis and hailey going"amen " " praise the lord" we finished and turned around getting odd glances from everyone and at the same time said"what?" we hopped on the bus and Alexis pushed me to the window seat (she gets woozy aparently). Yianni was forced to sit by the window also. Dylan & Yianni sat acrosed the row from me and alexis hailey sat behind yianni and dylan. dylan, alexis, hailey were all in deep gossip, trying to get over Mt. Alexis Gossip Queen to also be in the talk when i looked over at dylan and Yianni was trying to do the same thing as me in the end we both gave up and sat back i looked over at Yianni i said"you look lonely Yianni" he smiled and looked at me and said "so do you" i grined cuz i probley did. we got to the Sheldon finally and i was almost killed getting out of the bus, like usual. we all stood huddled together in a group waiting to get split in groups. Our pray didnt work but i dont know maybe someone out there was praying harder that it would be cold(who that is i dont know all i know is they're a nut job for thinking that). Mrs. Peters and Dr. dirks(yes i know dirks is a funny name) stepped out of the bus (finally) through the frigid winds whispering into everyones ears i heard Mrs. Peters annouce "Group 1: Nate, Lindsey, Kendra, Alexis,(my thought YES)Anna(thought again double whammy YES) and Dylan(thought NOOOOO)". now in the 2nd group was the other people i knew, Hailey, Erin, and Yianni. we started pushing Anna toowards group 2 saying we'll trade anna for Yianni jokeingly the teacher yelled at us saying no tradeing people which just made us laugh more.

we were off. my attire was a brown T-shirt with a Green Coat over it the coat was fairly warm but not warm enough. Alexis, anna, and I linked arms and marched with our docent to the first sculpture. she was talking but it was hard to hear over the winds and i looked over my shoulder and saw the princepal Dr.Dirks, great i thought we're going to have eagle eyes over us every second. surprisingly he staied far away from our group as possible(serves him right). Poor Dylan he stood in the cold all alone in white shorts and seatshirt We all walked over to him still in the linking arms, i had an arm open so i pulled his hood over his head, he mouthed thanks and i put my own hood up alexis put her's and anna did the same we had strings on ours so we pulled the strings and the hoodie closed around our faces dylan didnt. we moved on to a sculpture i new of but we passed old glory our docent saw we were looking at old glory she said we'll come back to that i love old glory so under my breath jokeingly i said ill miss you baby aparently dylan heard that and thought i was talking to him he said"wooow" and i started laughing. we went to green point and huddled into the sculpture but it wasnt as warm as it looked like. dylan at this point had he's teeth chattering so hard it sound like a jack hammer going off we all felt bad for him so we crowded around him asking if he'd like to join our group. he reluctently linked on to my arm we walked over to old glory finally our docent said if we hurry it up we can go inside we all wanted to do that so we strated to run being the spaz that am i slipped on a wet spot and fell takeing the whole group down with me (one goes down we all go down). Alexis laughed calling me spaztasic i agreed Dr. Dirks rushed over asking if we were all alright and helped anna up alexis and anna said sure and dylan still laughing said yeah i said yeah to and stood up (with dylans and alexis's help) we finished and went inside yelling at each other saying "ill be the first one inside" iwasnt i was the 3rd but alexis cheated lol. we got in side and went up stairs to look at statue up stairs we went into a room full of paintings i knew, the docent started talking but i didnt know what about Dylan knelt down i looked over him and there it was a small 12x12 floor piece nothing much but if it wasnt for dylan i wouldve steped on it. next room was full of nude paintings anna alexis and me had our backs against the wall looking at our shoes and i was covering dylans eyes jokeingly. we moved on thank god to a sculpture i saw already last year. i whispered did a hobo make that my friends laughed. the sculpter must of went dumpster diving cuz thats what it was a clump of trash but it was ment to look like that it had a wooden leg our docent says that emplied with the war. a bouncy ball (bad child hood).
i had a fun time even though we all frooze and it sprikled icey rain. than just on wen. dr dirks came up to me and said i had some intelligant comments at the sheldon i laughed under my breath even when im trying not be smart it always come out no matter what.
